I had a piece of red fabrics. As I don't like red colour I decided to cover it with felted "painting". The process was not easy. I made it of two pieces - back and front. I beginned with back and I made a mistake with it - I put too little of wool and so it got many red holes:
I tried to cover the holes using needle felt:
The front piece is better because I had an experience already:
And here it is. I joined both pieces with a tie.
Your poncho is stunning! I haven't tried needle felting yet but this makes me want to!
