Hat for Lauma

A flowers hat for little Lauma:

As Lauma lives far away and is not available for fittings I was afraid how it will lie on the model. I just received the pictures and fortunately it looks really good:

Christmas water-lily

I had nothing to wear on Christmas party. I have my old dress only. Luckily I have heard - it's allowed to wear old dress if you have some new accessory and noone will notice that you have had the same dress on previous party already. Well, I crocheted a shawl and made an organza water-lily to my old dress. I hope that will be enough.

Solstice adornment

I had an idea about just simple stones picked up on the beach. I thought it would be a good material for accessories and adornments. I like the way they sound and they are good to touch. I wish I had a possibility to make holes in them but even without holes I still can join them by crocheting around. I made this one during the summer solstice - every single stone represents the Sun, bet the central one symbolyzes the Sun during the solstice.

Process is simple. I crocheted two separate sides and then crocheted them together (making two small loops for joining) with the stone inside.

Joining:

Today I put it on for the first time and I like that it is heavy a bit - such a good strong feeling. :)

Summer suit "Little green witch"

Made to fit to the new jewerly.

Top - knit in garter stitch.
Still in pieces:

Trying on:
Completed (bottom crocheted):

Skirt - knitted straight round from top to bottom. 6 increase points in the bottomside. Increased each 2 rounds 2 stitches at each point.
Hat is crocheted, the butterfly is knitted. I am not able to hold by only one technique.
I was confused a little about how much to increase.

The butterfly - each wing knitted separately beginning from the central axis (central axis consists of 7 chains). Big wings - start with 5 stiches, each 2 rows - increase 2 in the top of the wing, decrease 1 in the bottom. Small wings - start with 3 stiches, each 2 rows - increase 2 in the middle.

All together. I like this one:

Bug's flowerbed

This toy is made for a charity project. The aim for this project was to help autistic and weak-eyed children.
The 3 main contents
  • Bug with elastic buttonhole in it's stomach.

  • Flowers for making a rope.

  • Weawed carpet with buttons on it.

All together:

I would have enjoyed such a toy in my childhood.

Flower from ancient ornaments

I found this ancient flower ornament here:

I decided to crochet it.

The result is not perfect actually. I should improve my pattern.

Summer skirt for a girl

I had decided to do properly - to crochet on a pattern. But I did wrong something and the result is not alike to that one in the pattern. I think it's even better. I haven't ever tried to work on patterns after that, I have only made my owns.
