Christmas water-lily

I had nothing to wear on Christmas party. I have my old dress only. Luckily I have heard - it's allowed to wear old dress if you have some new accessory and noone will notice that you have had the same dress on previous party already. Well, I crocheted a shawl and made an organza water-lily to my old dress. I hope that will be enough.

Brooch day

I had a brooch day yesterday.
Karlīne wanted a red one with perls:

I need a bowl in brick colour with stone. As all my stones it comes from seaside. I must confess that I am cheating a bit - it is not completed yet because the felt is still wet and the stone is not sticked down.

Some more stones

I found a stone with a hole and painted it:

This felted brooch is for my mom. The stone is painted by my 5 years old daughter.

Solstice adornment

I had an idea about just simple stones picked up on the beach. I thought it would be a good material for accessories and adornments. I like the way they sound and they are good to touch. I wish I had a possibility to make holes in them but even without holes I still can join them by crocheting around. I made this one during the summer solstice - every single stone represents the Sun, bet the central one symbolyzes the Sun during the solstice.

Process is simple. I crocheted two separate sides and then crocheted them together (making two small loops for joining) with the stone inside.

Joining:

Today I put it on for the first time and I like that it is heavy a bit - such a good strong feeling. :)
